Analyzing Political Parties

 

Analyzing Political Parties requires students to analyze several issues related to the political campaigns of political candidates. Students will discuss issues, the candidate's positions on the issues, and how they affect Texans. Through graphically organized notes, students will analyze the candidates based on their political experience and their positions on: vote button

Political Experience:
Summarize each candidate’s political experience. For example: What offices has he held? How long has he been involved in politics? Which one do you think is better qualified?

Environment:
Briefly describe each candidate’s position on this platform issue, in other words, what does the candidate say he is going to do to help the environment? Which candidate has a stronger position on this issue? Why?

Education:
Briefly describe each candidate’s position on this platform issue, in other words,
what does the candidate say he is going to do to improve education? Which
candidate has a stronger position on this issue? Why?

Economy:
Briefly describe each candidate’s position on this platform issue, in other words,
what does the candidate say he is going to do to improve the economy? Which
candidate has a stronger position on this issue? Why?
