Comparing the American and Texas Revolutions
Comparing the American and Texas Revolutions enables the students to understand the similarities and differences of these two historic conflicts. A group of four students will work together, with each one performing a role: graphic designer, historical consultant, research analyst, and copywriter. The students will create a Venn Diagram showing the similarities and differences of the American and Texas Revolutions, and for processing will create a Janus Figure by drawing a two-sided figure showing opposing points of view, a Texas soldier and an American soldier. The illustration will include the following information: purpose for fighting, life as a soldier, enemy, weapons used, and military tactics.
